I feel dodgeball is a great sport to put in a physical education cirriculum. There are many variations to this game that allows many different aspect of physical eduaction. This game involves cognitive thinking, movement, and manipulative skills, . It's not just a game where you hit someone as hard as you can anymore, it involves much more than that. There is more contact in other sports than dodgeball and regarding of who signs up for the sport or in playing it in PE if something happens to the child, then the school is going to be liable anyway. In some of the variation fitness plays a big role in winning the game. I indeed feel that the game of dodgeball follows the content standards of NASPE.
